At J M Autoservices we carry out a fully comprehensive annual service, not just an inspection. This service takes approximately 2 hours, providing you with a complete report on your vehicle.
Please refer to our service schedule to see what the annual service consists of (items serviced vary depending on mileage and manufacturer’s recommended Service Schedule)
We recommend that your vehicle is serviced annually, keeping running costs to a minimum. Depending on the mileage, it may be advisable to carry out an engine service at six monthly intervals.

TYRES
We provide a complete range of tyres at very competitive prices with free Valve, Balance and Fitting. We have over 150 budget/midrange tyres in stock!!!

Please note the legal limit for tyre tread is 1.6mm. If tyre tread is below the legal limit you could incur 3 points on your licence per tyre and/or a fine of up to £1,000. Any tread depth that is below 3mm will seriously affect your stopping distance and traction on the road when wet let alone when icy!
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
While an MOT will make sure your car is roadworthy, servicing it will make sure the car will last. There are a lot of things that can happen to a car within a year and if not taken care of they will lead to costly repairs and maybe a replacement of the whole vehicle. CAMBELTS
Cambelts And Chains
The Timing Belt is a toothed rubber belt that keeps the crankshaft, aux shaft, and camshaft(s) in time with one another. The Timing Belt is critical if your engine is going to run, as an engine out of synchronization will lack compression, and the ignition will not fire on time, which usually results in serious engine damage being caused.
Timing Belts and Timing Belt kits are fitted to manufacturers’ specifications.
The replacement intervals for vehicles with a Timing Belt range from 3 years / 36,000 miles to 10 years / 100,000 miles.
As Timing Belts can fail without warning we strongly recommend you change the Belt at the recommended intervals. Some vehicles have timing chains which usually last the lifetime of the vehicle without replacement. Please contact us with your vehicle details for clarification on whether your vehicle is a Belt or Chain driven Engine, Replacement intervals and costs to replace the Timing Belt or Timing Belt kit on your vehicle.

MOT'S
We don't carry out mots on site but we have two mot stations we have used over the 11 years of trading which covers class 4 and class 7 with daily slots
